The reported monster in the news is a very powerful Heartless. Do not attempt to engage it on your own, and warn your friends to travel together if they absolutely must go out at night.

[so. rude. This is what happens when there are no Masters to teach the younglings manners.]

I encountered the Heartless in question when out after dark. It is.. extremely powerful. Very fast.

My injuries should finish healing within the next day or so.

[Totally oblivious of the reproof...or maybe just ignoring it.]

It hurt you? [DUDE] We can't just let it go. Even if most people do stay in after dark, not everyone does.

[Grimace. It's practically audible.]

I was unfortunate. Had I moved any slower, matters would have been much worse. Fortunately, my left hand is not my dominant one.

[Or swinging a Keyblade around would have really sucked during that fight.]

[Then, a sigh.] As keybearers, it is our duty to deal with this monster. But you must not attempt to do so alone. I told Riku more details regarding what happened, but let me be clear: I do not know if it uses corridors to move across the city, but it may not need to. Not at night, when the Port might as well be shadow.

I know what it's like. [He sounds not indignant, but reflective. Yes, he's spent his share of nights in the darkness.]

If none of us can handle it alone, maybe we should handle it together.

What did Riku think?

He had no reason to disagree with my assessment of the danger.

[The amount of bloodloss involved as proof might have helped. A little.]

I would recommend contacting Riku directly as he has not spoken with you himself. Coordinating a wider patrol in groups should not fall on the shoulders of one person. Both Ventus and Terra have been warned of the danger, as well.

[Well, he doesn't think of Riku as his boss in any way, shape or form, but he does trust his friend.] All right.

Are you sure you're going to be okay?

[There's a pause, followed by pained chuckle.]

I'm sure I've weathered worse in my time, though at the moment, I could not tell you when.

[Dying totally doesn't count.]
