He must have had a reason. But he never mentioned anything to me.... maybe Aqua would know.

He was probably trying to protect you.

You should have seen him when he first got here, when he thought I was you. He was going crazy trying to get me to believe that I'd just forgotten everything, that we were best friends. I don't think I ever saw him act happy until you and Aqua showed up.
